| Set is First Fleer hockey product on the market in years! CARLSBAD,CA(December 13, 2005) – After a decade long layoff, Fleer Ultra will return to the delight of collectors everywhere. Soon to be a fixture once again in the hobby, 2005-06 Fleer Ultra Hockey is perfectly crafted to attract set collectors by giving them the opportunity to grab two memorabilia cards per hobby box and one autograph card per hundred and forty four packs and one Gold Medallion parallel per pack. 2005-06 Fleer Ultra Hockey (eight-cards per pack) will be available at hobby and retail locations nationwide in late-January 2006 with an MSRP of $2.99.
The complete 271-card regular set of 2005-06 Fleer Ultra Hockey features the top players on skates which will also be immortalized in Gold Medallion and Ice Medallion parallel versions. In addition, collectors can look forward to grabbing cards with 71 youngsters making their NHL debut such as the top-scoring rookie duo of Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin, or the hard-hitting team of Dion Phaneuf and Mike Richards. With all of the rule changes designed to increase scoring opportunities, it’s fitting that Fleer Ultra has dedicated an insert to the guys that keep the red light lit, like Joe Thornton, Mario Lemieux, Mike Modano, and Jeremy Roenick, to name a few.
