The NHL’s Sole Trading Card Licensee Shares Priority Signing Information
Carlsbad, CA – (November 1, 2007) – Upper Deck is set to make a huge impact with collectors at the worlds largest trading card show with hockey consumers November 9-11 in Toronto, ON. The NHL Expo brings in thousands of die-hard hockey collectors from all over Canada and the United States, but also from as far away as Europe and Asia. Upper Deck has several things planned to ensure all attendees have a great experience.
The company will have new trading card and collectible products on display at their booth, but will also have interactive elements as well. A daily raffle is planned at the Upper Deck booth for one NHL All-Star Vinyl collectible figurines and one for recent higher end NHL trading card product. The company also has plans for a variety of giveaways during the course of each day consisting of Upper Deck NHL trading cards, t-shirts, carabineers and backpacks.
The most exciting program is the semi-annual wrapper redemption program where collectors who open a box of the 07/08 NHL Fleer Ultra, 07/08 NHL Artifacts or the 07/08 NHL Upper Deck Series 1 at the Upper Deck booth will receive a random NHL autograph card. This rare autograph set, called Priority Signings, is constantly a favorite with show attendees and it includes some of the greatest names in hockey with players like Sidney Crosby, Wayne Gretzky and Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe. This promotion will only be available while supplies last each day.

“This show is really important to us as it is basically our chance to say thank you to the collectors who have supported our products year in and year out,” said Karvin Cheung, Upper Deck Product Manager for Hockey. “We spend a lot of money putting this Priority Signing set together and by distributing so many free items, but it’s worth it to us because it helps collectors see how much we appreciate their loyalty to our products.”
