What's up everyone?
After searching around and having no luck whatsoever, I thought I'd post here. I'm trying to complete a master set of Goodwin Champions, which includes all the inserts.
I'm an absolute completest so that means that I'll be chasing after ALL the inserts, including the relics and autos (I haven't decided if I want to go after the Magician's and printing plates or not).
Anyway, I was reviewing the set on the UD webpage and noticed that almost all the cards are obtainable, granted going through Ebay's list of completed, and current, auctions.
I was going through the SP checklist and one card has been very elusive and I see why - with a run of only 5 cards, this one might be a bit of a challenge - Buffalo Bill Cody's relic card.
I see a pic of it on UD's website - so I have a question; actually, a couple of questions.
First of all - has this card ever been up for sale or trade? I have yet to see it.
Secondly - for those of you might have seen the card up close - what is the material suppose to be? Looking on the site, it looks almost jersey-like; and the problem is that in the late 1800's and early 1900's, jersey material did not exist (I'm a vintage collector of the original T206's and T213's so I am well aware of material from that era - mostly cotton).
Where the heck did UD get the material from and WHY is it jersey-like in appearance??!!
Granted, I could be completely wrong as I have never seen the actual card, but is anyone out there, from UD or otherwise, that might be able to answer my questions?
Thanks! W
