Dinosaur Spotlight: Wind Dinosaurs
Welcome to the final Dinosaur King Trading Card Game Element spotlight! The last Element (but certainly not the least) is Wind. After you read this one, you might want to go back and read about the other Elements again. That way, you’ll have the total picture of each Element, and you’ll know which one is best for you!
Like the Fire Dinosaurs, Wind Dinosaurs are all theropods, which are carnivorous dinosaurs that walked on two legs. The theropods that are Fire Dinosaurs were generally larger than the theropods that are Wind Dinosaurs. Wind Dinosaurs also include the dromaeosaurs, like Velociraptor and Utahraptor. Dromaeosaurs are some of the most famous dinosaurs. They had a large claw on each foot, and scientists think they used these claws when hunting prey. Recent discoveries have shown that many dromaeosaurs were covered in feathers, including wing and tail feathers, like modern birds. Even though they had feathers, these dinosaurs could not fly, much like ostriches today.
In the Dinosaur King Trading Card Game, Wind Dinosaurs are all about speed and attacking. Unlike Fire Dinosaurs, which specialize in overpowering their opponents, Wind Dinosaurs rely on sneaky tricks to get the job done. Check out Carnotaurus, the level 6 Wind Dinosaur. Its [Tornado Strike] ability lets it get an extra attack after it beats a Dinosaur. It can’t use the extra attack to attack your opponent directly, but if they have another Dinosaur in play, it had better look out!
Taking out two of your opponent’s Dinosaurs with Carnotaurus’s 2000 Power and double attack ability can clear the way for other Wind Dinosaurs with the [Twin Talons] ability. When a Dinosaur with [Twin Talons] attacks directly, it does double damage! The [Sneak Attack] ability can also let you get more attacks in. When a Dinosaur with [Sneak Attack] wins a battle, you can return it to your hand and then Dino Slash a different Dinosaur. If you still have an open Dinosaur Zone, you can Dino Slash the first Dinosaur and attack with it again!
The Wind Super Move Whirlwind lets any Dinosaur share Carnotaurus’s double-attacking ability, and it gives +600 Power to boot! You can really mess up your opponent’s plans with the Super Move Roaring Tempest. No matter if you win or lose the battle, your opponent has to discard a card afterward. Forcing your opponent to discard a powerful Dinosaur or Super Move they were holding on to can quickly swing the game in your favor.
If you like making lots of attacks and mastering some sneaky tricks, Wind is the Element for you. You can get all the awesome Wind Dinosaurs like Carnotaurus and Velociraptor in booster packs of the Dinosaur King Trading Card Game. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to make your move!
