- 9/27/2003 - Upper Deck Launches Industry's First Online Fantasy Hockey Game
The Upper Deck Company, known for its cutting-edge technology and innovative product designs, has just recorded another first for the trading card industry: online fantasy sports games. This week, the hobby's leading sports card company will debut "SportsNut Hockey" - an easy-to-play online fantasy game - as a subset inside its 2003-04 MVP Hockey. The effort marries sports card collecting with fantasy sports enthusiasm and technology. Once again, Upper Deck appears to have scored a slap shot.

This box contains a random assortment of 2003/2004 MVP Hockey trading cards. Randomly inserted into these specially marked packs are the following insert cards: MVP Talent (1:12), Winning Formula (1:18), Masked Men (1:18), Clutch Performers (1:24), SportsNut Fantasy Game (1:3), Sequentially Numbered Deco Foil Parallels of the regular set (1:19 -- MVP Silver Script (# to 150), MVP Gold Script (# to 25)), Rookie Class Redemption cards (1:35). Randomly inserted into these specially marked packs are the following "memorabilia insert cards": MVP Souvenirs memorabilia cards (1:72), Game-Used Jersey cards (1:1096 -- Threads of Change (# to 100), Lethal Lineups (# to 50)), MVP ProSign (1:480)). Stated odds reflect an average of the entire production run; no ratio is guaranteed to exist within an individual box or case. Packs may contain autograph redemption cards. In the event that the Upper Deck Company, LLC cannot provide an autograph card within 8 weeks of receipt, a comparable autograph card will be sent in its place. Packs containing memorabilia cards may contain less than the stated number of cards per pack.
